House RainShine is the modern conception of the house should consume only 43% of the energy normally consumed by a similar house built to standard codes. It is also almost 100% non-toxic - while almost no or low VOC and formaldehyde free. But perhaps more important is how the design of residential architecture provides a connection to the outside world.
RainShine House was designed by Robert M. Cain, and is located in Decatur, Georgia. One of the new non-toxic, single-family homes in the United States, the house has met or exceeded the maximum level of "green architecture" that allows the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED [Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design] for Homes pilot program.
